In the first part of this project 2A (Exercise 1) we were introduced to a video tutorial supplied by Mr. Martin to allow us to develop our Photoshop skills. In this exercise, we were assigned to cut out and place a character in a different location/scene and then doing it one more time using our own portrait. All the progress and learnings were documented in the post under week 5 (Link).

Submission: WEEK 7
In the second part of this project (Exercise 2), we were given the task to colour black and white images and we had the duration of 2 weeks to complete this task because the first part consists of just colouring the one given picture and the second part requires us to select one out of many given pictures and we have to use our creativity together with other coloured references to colour this selected image. All the full progress were documented in Week 6 and 7's post. (Link & Link)

In this task, we were assigned to create our own poster with our own creativity and by using the tips/learnings that we have obtained in the previous weeks. The theme for this task is 'MENTAL HEALTH' and it is a relatively challenging theme to tackle because it is quite specific and is relatively hard to play around with different creative styles. For this task (Project 2B), all the research, design processes, feedback, and reflection are documented in week 8's post (Link).

Poster Description
As a description to explain why this poster is made, it is a poster to send a deep message and also to spread awareness to the public, especially students because they are constantly stuck at home during this pandemic. Due to this scenario, classes, group discussions, and the overall learning experience will become very stressful because of so many limitations such as the learning environment, learning tools, and not being able to meet friends. Therefore the message we would like to spread to the viewers/students is that you are not the only one, and do not be stressed by overworking. Instead, we should keep a constant positive mindset to keep ourselves going and productive. That is why our main title is 'Don't let one negative thought ruin your day', and the slogan is 'Spread positivity, not stress'. As a call to action for this poster, we also provided a QR code so that students can scan and join our large social platform that has multiple servers for us to join as desired. These platforms will then consist of students/people who share the same interest/hobby and allowing them to meet new friends. The overall design is photography-based, and I went with utilising Lego pieces to show that our entire life is filled with so many happy elements/stories/people, so why let that one negative thought ruin your day. Stay positive!
