WEEK 10: LECTURE
Figure 1.1: Class session on week 10 (25th October 2021)
In this week's class session, Mr. Fauzi gave us some announcements based on the physical class that will be conducted in week 11. Then, we proceeded with a quick run-through on the basics of Adobe After Effects together with some video tutorials. We were assigned to create our own short animation within 15 seconds with the given Photoshop file to be submitted as our tutorial assignment this week. Then, some of our previous assignment (Project 2), were reviewed for further feedback as the submission deadline is this Monday.
Lecture Notes:
Adobe After Effects is an animation software that is used for animation, visual effects, and motion picture compositing. They are often used in film, TV, and web video creation. In motion graphics, we can manipulate vector and rasterised art to create and tell a story. The media can be in the form of photographs and videography.
Figure 2.1: Overview of Adobe After Effects software
Step 1: we need to arrange and rename layers accordingly in Adobe Photoshop so that they will be organised and can easily be animated when converted into Adobe After Effects later on. When importing into Adobe Ater Effects, we can import images, videos, and more. Adobe After Effects does not embed any of those files but rather links to it.

Week 10 Tutorial:
In this week's tutorial, we were all given a link to download a Photoshop file (psd) to be opened in Adobe After Effects and then to be animated. For this tutorial, I managed to create 2 different animations (1 according to the sample given and another one by playing around with the keyframe timeline)

Figure 3.2: Progress #2 - Setting keyframes (Masks and Transform)
This was a very interesting task/tutorial assignment and therefore, I would like to play around and try out a more complicated version of this 15-second animation.
